Story

CAOIMHE'S STORY:As a Fundraiser for the NSPCC I meet inspirational people on a daily basis. I first met Paul Harris in January 2015. Paul is a Deputy Headteacher at a Primary School in Gateshead who - for the last 4 years - has raised over £50,000 through personal challenges and through inspiring others to raise money for the NSPCC. Paul has worked tirelessly to raise money in memory of his two year old daughter, Caoimhe Harris, who sadly passed away suddenly on the 10th February 2011.Although I had never met Caoimhe I felt like I knew her from the stories Paul told me. Her life was a blessing for Paul and so many others. The effort he has put into fundraising for the NSPCC has helped to keep her memory alive and it has helped the NSPCC to reach thousands of children at risk of abuse in the North East. After meeting Paul I knew that I had to do the Great North Run. I knew that I had to do the Great North Run in Caoimhe's name.I will be doing the run in Fancy Dress in the ridiculous MONKEY COSTUME you see above which was randomly picked from my sponsors suggestions in June. Yes, I really will be running the Great North Run in that! Thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it. Any support you can give, big or small, will be gratefully received. Please click to the left if you'd like to leave a donation. 100% of the money will go to the NSPCC. Yours gratefully, Nihad xxx
