Story

Newcastle's Voice of the Town is a contemporary adult choir which perform their own arrangements of songs from a variety of popular styles, often with a twist, style and a whole lot of soul. Founded and directed by Steve Morton (a professional vocalist and pianist on this summer's Martha Reeves & The Vandellas UK tour), an exciting song list of soulful voices and rich harmonies lie in store for those who attend one of the group's shows. Tonight, they are supported by singer/songwriter RJ Thompson, who has himself performed alongside and supported the likes of Gabriella Cilmi, Madeleine Peyroux, Midge Ure, John Martin and Deacon Blue to name but a few. And Voice of the Town are delighted to be performing in aid of the NSPCC, via the Caoimhe Mary Harris Tribute Fund.
